NEOM Trojena, Jabal Al lawz, Northern Region KSA

CHALLENGE

Located 2,500 meters above sea level in the remote, mountainous terrain of Jabal Al Lawz, NEOM Trojena faces extreme weather-including winter snowfall-and has no grid access. The Base Camp required a reliable rental power solution to sustain construction and operations under these harsh and logistically demanding conditions

SOLUTION

SES deployed a fully engineered 6 MW diesel power plant operating at 33 kV to support the Base Camp. The scope included full mobilization, installation, and commissioning-tailored to off-grid, high-altitude conditions. The system was designed to perform reliably in extreme environments, while deployment was executed on a tight timeline.

RESULT

Commissioned in just two weeks, the SES solution has been delivering uninterrupted power to the NEOM Trojena Base Camp since December 2022. It ensures continuous operations in one of the Kingdom’s most challenging environments and plays a critical role in supporting NEOM’s construction activities and ambitious development schedule.

CHALLENGE

Acciona required a stable, 24/7 power supply for their modular construction site offices in an off-grid location. While the initial plan involved two 20 kVA diesel generators, high fuel costs, maintenance demands, and ESG considerations made diesel a less viable option.

SOLUTION

Smart Energy Solutions delivered an optimized hybrid solar system tailored to site requirements. The setup included an 18 kWp rooftop solar array - with smart panel placement extending onto a carport frame - a 45 kWh lithium battery system, and two 15 kW hybrid inverters for integrated energy management. The system was engineered, delivered, and commissioned as a turnkey sale within 8 weeks.

RESULT

Since project launch in January 2024, the system has provided uninterrupted, diesel-free power to the site offices, meeting operational needs around the clock. The solution eliminated fuel logistics and generator maintenance, while aligning with Acciona’s sustainability targets and supporting Qatar’s National Vision 2030 for cleaner energy.

Sharjah, UAE - at their fully sustainable, solar-powered facility

CHALLENGE

A fast deployment was required for a temporary application that had to run entirely on solar power, in line with BEEAH’s sustainability goals.

SOLUTION

A full turnkey Air-to-Water solution integrated with our Smart Box concept-off-grid, solar-powered, and plug-and-play. Mobilized, installed, and commissioned in less than one day, the system was ready just in time for the event’s kickoff.

RESULT

Deployed in February 2024 as a rental, the solar-powered unit delivered uninterrupted production of 30 liters/day of clean drinking water extracted from ambient humidity. It successfully supported a 1-week event with no reliance on diesel or grid power-enabling a closed-loop, fully sustainable operation powered entirely by the sun.
